How a pageant is scored

Five judges score every delegate from 0 to 10, in half points.

The preliminaries

Every delegate is scored in interview, national costume, swimsuit, talent, evening gown (national costume at the Earth only). Her preliminary total decides the top ten.

The top ten

The top ten start again from nothing. The national costume, swimsuit, talent, evening gown rounds decide the top five.

The top five

The final interview decides the crown. Places are announced in reverse order, fourth runner-up first, each with her final average. In 2026 the Earth's top five finished 0.22 points apart.

Special awards

Best Talent and Best National Costume go to the highest preliminary scores. Photogenic comes from the preliminary portraits. Congeniality is voted by the delegates themselves.
